CSE SIMUL - compensation for Z axis when moving W axis .

Pioneer

HI aLL,

I am working on EDM machine NX ISV simulation. The machine has a parent W.

Z is child to the WAXIS (GUIDE AXIS ).In NX ISV simulation when there is a W movement then thereafter if it encounters any of the Z value IN PROGRAM  then the program is runing somewhere down in Z-axis instead of following the workoffset G54.I think I need to compensate for W movements in Z axis.(PLEASE SEE ATTACHED DOC TO UNDERSTAND MORE)

The controller is customised one but in NX ISV I am using fanuc drivers.

Anyone who ran into the same issue please help me.

One way I thought to resolve is compensate the W moves in the G54 Z values

But in MCF how Can i DO THIS ? I am not sure.

Any suggestions ?

Regards

Keerti

Hi Keerti,

there are different ways to do this but at first I would like to see some more NC code. How does the real machine/controller handle this?

One approach is shown in the nc simulation samples in NX11 with the sim17_vertical_turnmill_dualchannel.

...\sim17_vertical_turnmill_dualchannel\cse_driver\sinumerik\subprog\W_POS.spf

There is a subprogram W_POS which is called in NC code.

Thanks

Thomas

Hello

You can do it with an Linear Transformation in the MCF -File
example:

Create a Linear Trafo with Name WAXIS
If a W Axis in the NC-Code than
ResetTransformation WAXIS
DisplaceOrigin -- write the Value of the Waxis into Z
ActivateTransformation

Done

Hey Thomas ,

Thanks for the reply.

In NX11 MACH folder I dont find sim_17 its only till sim_16.

And In actuall machine how do they handle this scenario I am not sure for now.I am working for one of my customer I need to ask them how do they handle this issue in real machine enviornment. Will get back to you soon.
