Hello

Im building a CSE simulation model for 5-axis non-orthoconal milling machine that has turning capability.

Is cycle800 supported in CSE simulation in turning??

 example: CYCLE800(0,"TURN",200,57,,,,0,0,0,,,,-1,100,2)

Hi Jussi,

short answer ... no. I did some action on it but it´s not finished so far.

Hey Thomas, we are starting to work on a simulation of a 5 axis table/table machine with turning capabilities ... has the status of CSE & cycle800 turning changed?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

it is supported since 1202 for 45° head/table (sim09) kinematics. Table/table kinematics will work with NX1872.

Thomas,

Thanks for the quick reply. This is great news. We may have a need to simulate "B" axis turning on a table/table machine in NX11.0.2 very soon. We have previously created our own non-linear transformation for variable axis turning in NX11, but with tool moving (not part moving). Perhaps I will message you privately, if possible, if we get stuck.

Also, we are excited for NX1872 release - sounds like there is a lot of great functionality in there. We just need to convince our customers to update their software faster!

Best regards,

John

John,

when you talk about B-axis turning are you talking about 5 axis simultanous (TRAORI) in conjunction with turning or the cycle800 turning? If you like you can contact me directly.
