CSE Simulation and machine cycles

HI,

Does anybody have experiences with simulation of cycles which are downloaded from real machine tool?.

We are tuning simulation for turnmill machine, and we downloaded all cycles from machine to have everything the same.

Most of cycles work fine but some special cycles not.

For example CYCLE60 engraving text , we must make any (simple) workaround to have simulation OK - there is another thread on forum.

Now we have next problem - CYCLE95 - lathe roughing. On real machine it work fine, but in CSE not.

We found that we have to add DIAMON somwere in CYCLE95 code and it started to work. BUt if we change the way how cycle work - it possible to switch between rouhging and finishing, the problem is the same. So we found next place where we have to put DIAMON funkction. It helps a little - tool is moving on good shape but some moves are strange - on real machine it is not going like in simulation.

Does anybody have some ideas? Or we have to rewrite all cycle according simulations behaviour?

Thanks

Hi Ondrej,

in general in the most cases the cycle files MUST NOT be customized, beause the real machine works with it. Our goal is to emulate the real controller/machine as best es possible based on the nc code which feeds the machine. So putting here and there a command within the cycle can have side effects you don´t want to have.

From simulation point, the most problems/errors coming from wrong machine settings, wrong/missing machine parameter, undefined variables or wrong or missing NC commands around the cycles.

Cycle95 is a very special and one of the most complex cycles. What do you mean with " ... but some moves are strange - on real machine it is not going like in simulation"

We did some enhancements and fixes with NX1101 or NX1102. Have you tried this version?

Hello

doing that way of customizing could be very complex and time consuming. NX is shipped with Sinumerik cycles (version 4.7), that includes CYCLE95 too. And we have tested that version running with post and simulaiton. The OOTB exampe sim11 includes one operation - ROUGH_TURN_CYCLE - as an example. Maybe reusing that would help you.

Hi, thanks for answers

Attached should be two movies in rar file.

CYCLE95 - ROUGH - there some strange move on radius (first operation is facing - also CYCLE95, there is no problem, problem is in second operation)

CYCLE95 - FINISH - we switch cycle to make only contour - and it follows shape without problem, but in the end, last move goes to strange position thru the body - and program is stil inside of CYCLE95.

BTW - we must put DIAMON inside to CYCLE95 , if we do not make this customization, it doesnt follow shape.

Ok i try to look on sim11 example.

I use NX11.0.2 version
