Hi everybody!

I need to specify the spindle axis (S1= and S2=) of the revolver turret for "Machine Configurator" CSE).

CNC program of this type:     S1=500 M3

The base machine Sim15 has only the S-axis.

I have a problem after renaming an axis from "S" to "S1".

How can I avoid this problem? Thank you!

Hi Alex,

I assume you´re using the Fanuc controller?

The Fanuc parser for CSE doesn´t understand the syntax S1=xxx or S2=xxx. Because as described in manual the programming rule is different, see programming sample below.

Setting address P for spindle selection
Parameter 3781:11 (S1) 21 (S3) 12 (S2)

M03 S1000 P12 ; S2 rotates in normal direction at 1000 min
M03 S1500 P21 ; S3 rotates in normal direction at 1500 min
M04 S1500 P11 ; S1 rotates in reverse direction at 1500 min

There are two ways to enhance/customize the parser. Either you are using CSEPreProcessLine or you do the parser customization directly within the py files (my suggestion)
When the parser is ready, then you can do the implementation in Machine Configurator. But before starting here and doing any customizations, clarify how the real machine controller works.

Hello, Thomas. Yes, this is Fanuc (more precisely, Mitsubishi).
This machine requires writing the speed of rotation exactly like this:
S1=500 M3 (or M4) - main spindle, turning mode
S2=500 M3 (or M4) - sub spindle, turning mode
S3=500 M73 (or M74) - main spindle, milling mode
S4=500 M73 (or M74) - sub spindle, milling mode

Sorry! I was a little mistaken:

S1=500 M3 (or M4) - main spindle, turning mode
S2=500 M203 (or M204) - sub spindle, turning mode
S3=500 M73 (or M74) - main spindle, milling mode
S4=500 M273 (or M274) - sub spindle, milling mode

Ok... But as I said without enhancing the parser it will not work.

Search for "CSEPreprocessLine" in this forum and you´ll find some threads including samples.
