CSEPreprocessLine with ""

Hello!

For Siemens controller (CTX1250) I have one problem - for part transfer I use FIXEDSTOP subroutine, for example:

FIXEDSTOP(Z3, 0, 0.2, 345.56.......), where first parameter - STRING. But - when I define this proc in subroutine - PROC ( STRING[32] AXIS_NAME, REAL ....) - I have error message about problem with paeser line.

FIXEDSTOP("Z3", 0, 0.2, 345.56.......), - no error messages.

And my first idea was replace FIXEDSTOP(Z3, to FIXEDSTOP("Z3", but - I cannot use "....

Any advises?

Maybe this data type shouldn't be a STRING, but AXIS?

...I'm not sure, but just guessing

Hi YuriThomas,

I don´t see a problem. I tested the following code without any problems? What do you expect?

Re: CSEPreprocessLine with ""

I've been looking for an example of CSEPreprocessLine.  Can you tell me where to find it?  I assume it will automatically get processed if it is present???

Thanks in advance

Hi George,

attached is a PDF with all information you need. Let me know if you need further information.

Note: CSEPreProcessLine is a mighty function BUT be careful and use it only when there is no other way. The more processed code in the function is the more suffering the Perfomance!
