Hello ,

i want use a convergent body as my cam part. It was announced that will be possible in NX12.0.2 but i cant select the body. I import a .stl file and convert it to convergent model. Is there a special way do select the body ?

Hi Brandau-san,

There is a known issue with this in 12.0.2. The fix is coming in NX12.0.2 MP2.

See the thread below for more information and a temporary workaround:

Thanks

Hi @__Christoph__

Development is aware of this issue. Unfortunately, you won't be able to select NX Facet or Convergent Geometry as Blank in CAM. The fix for this coming with NX12.0.2 MP2. We apologize for the inconvenience. We introduced a regression when we added the ability to work with Convergent Bodies.

The (temporary) workaround is to import the STL into NX as a Convergent Body and set the UGII_CAM_USE_CONVERGENT_GEOM=1 variable which will allow you to select a Convergent Body as Blank in CAM.

NX12.0.2 MP2 will be available for you to download at the 14th of September 2018.

Cheers,

Alexander
