Comparing post processed NC code to NX master design data

Hi all, wondering if anyone is aware of a functionality or a utility for NX that compares the post processed NC code data to the master NX design data?

For example, hole locations on an OML fuselage panel defined in NX in one hand, and then in the other hand I have a text file of the NC code that runs the machine/robot which drills those holes. Now I want to compare the hole location/orientation information in the NC code directly back to the master definition of the hole location/orientation in NX.

 

Or anyone have experience with this kind of activity or a recommended methodology, your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

NC-code simulation with NX IS&V, VERICUT, or any other NC-code simulation software.

Within NX you have the ability to simulate external NC-code, you just have to make sure the tool numbers or names match the ones of the external NC-code.

Normally, we would compare models to models - the IPW from the NC simulation to the original CAD solid.

It you want to compare text to text, it may be possible if you are in a 3 axis world, and the hole locations are in some sort of table.

We do this using Vericut.  We can check for gouges, excess material and measure stock thickness. by compairing the cut model to the CAD model

If you use NX to create the excess material in verify, you need to enable it starting with NX 9.0.3 through the customer defaults, since it is disabled by default starting with NX 9.0.3 Smiley Sad00_Verify3DwithoutSaveExcess.PNG3D Verify without Excess
