Create tool solid

Hi friends

 

I´m trying to convert to a solid, a tool that I visualize in a toolpath.

Is that posible?

This is possible. You have to look in the documentation. It's well documented.

From the Tool view of the operation navigator select the tool.

On the Assembly Navigator you should see the tool you just selected as a component

Right click and select make displayed part. Save the file.

Thanks John but something I´m doing wrong.

 

From the Tool view of the operation navigator select the tool.-->OK

 

 

On the Assembly Navigator you should see the tool you just selected as a component--OK

 

 

 

Right click and select make displayed part. Save the file. -->I can´t

During the simulation of a toolpath I would like to convert to solid a tool in a position determinated

May I ask why?  the tool path visualization will display the tool along the path.  What is the end objective?

To use the tool surface in order to make a surface.

You can run the tool path verification and when the tool get to the location you want you can select Analysis - Measure distance  Set the anotation to Create Line.  Pick two points one at tip of the tool and one the top of the tool.

 

Now you have a line you can use to locate the tool you had saved as previously described.  You can link the body of the tool and use the to model whatever you need.
