The color is changed in the operations, machining methods and/or customer defaults, depending on if the CAM objects existed or not.

There is no way to change the thickness, but you can create an enhancement request at GTAC.

Hi @Vora and @Stefan_Pendl,

you are able to change the thickness of the toolpath through these settings:

Menu --> Preferences --> Visualization --> Line --> Set checkmark at Show widths

Like Stefan said, the colouring of the toolpaths can be done through methods or in the operation itself. The dialogue is called Path Display Colors:

If i changed the pixle width as a result only change my 3D model edge thickness not a toolpath thickness

Thanx

You don't have to play around with the settings. Just set the checkmark and you should see an impact. It should change both, the edge thickness as well as the toolpath thickness. You have to indeed reselect your operation.

As you can see in my picture, it worked.

The problem is that there is no setting to control the width used to display the tool path (thin, normal or thick), you can just change the overall behaviour of NX, not just the one for the tool path display.

Hi Stefan,

Is it really a problem? we probably can add more controls, but need a good reason for that. in which case the existing options are not suficient?

Hi Eddy,

if we compare the two images of the OP from his initial two posts, the required difference should be obvious.

The image in the first post would benefit of a thin line thickness, which should be a session setting. This would then result in a better resolution similar to the image in the second post.

If you have a high resolution display, the problem is not seen.

The difference could also be based on the use of software instead of hardware rendering, but we don't know the OPs visualization settings for NX.

May be we can get a better overview if the following information is provided by the OP:

  • graphics adapter used
  • graphics driver release used
  • NX visualization settings
