Hello,

I want to ask how should do proper settings to output cutcom register?

My settings:

1. I have generated path witch cutter compensation - output contact data, all finish passes

2. In postbuilder I have this:

3.tool settings:

I still have no output of D.

The variable doesnt exists or am I doing something wrong??

Thank you

What I have had to do is Force out the D on the Cutcom ON event

In post builder make a custom command that has MOM_force once D

Add that custom command to the Machine Control event Cutcom ON

You should now get the D output each time the Cutter Comp is output

HI,

Thanks for reply.

I did the same.

Still any D.

ver 11.0.2, generic 5ax TT

D is optional and variable  doesnt exists = D is not outputed

Ive  tried output mom_cutcom_adjust_register in every move if it exists = never.

I have to use mom_tool_cutcom_register which contains the same value.

Note there are 2 places you can specify the cutter comp register:

1) In the tool (or operation)

2) In the "Cutter compensation" UDE (variable = "mom_cutcom_adjust_register"?)

I forget which is which, but there are 2 variables for this.

However the "OOTB" default in PB is mom_cutcom_adjust_register, so that SHOULD work.

mom_cutcom_adjust_register is what I have in all my posts.  We define the offset on the Pocket or Tool

Have you tried listing the tool path to make sure the CUTCOM/LEFT and CUTCOM/OFF are actually being triggered?

yes,

sometimes it gives good output, for example D05 and sometimes it gives no output as my customer said.

I will do more tests.

It looks this setting has effect on this.

because cutcom register was set in the tool but in operation wasnt check box ON

Maybe this is the problem.

I would second John's suggestion to look at the internal toolpath (right click on operation - toolpath - list, or if editing the operation, the furthest right icon in the "Actions" block)

No cutcom (or no cutcom register) there, then you won't get the variable correctly defined in the posted output.

I get output G41/42 so cutcom was triggered.(also cls)

I think the problem was checkblock I mentioned above.

btw adjust register , H is outputed always.

Try these (3) places and format. I get my D everytime it is the value in the cutcom register
