I want to ask about this overlap parameter in floor wall operation.
In planar mill exists and it is working. (not overlap in non cutting moves in star/drill points)
Because I want to machine rest material but not exactly on its start but with little offset.
Look at the path and material in floor wall operation:
If the tool enagages into material in the same place where previous tool ends it leaves mark on the wall.
I want to machine it.
See attached part.

Did anybody notice that?
Preview of material is not good and if it be on good position, the cut path is not precisely on the start of the rest material.
Plus I want extend cut path because there will be little amount of the rest material.
The overlap distance you show in the dialog picture is for reference tool and 2D IPW containment.
You are asking about floor/wall with IPW. Are you looking to control the overlap there?
one way to extend the path is using the linear engage and retract as the default setting is.
But it seems to be a "rough" way.
(blue line marks where is the rest material. previous tool was D20, next tool is D10 mm)
If you look closely the cut move starts even behind the blue line.
It should start at the the point where blue line is.
And I want to extend it to start cut before the blue line like overlap paramer do in plannar mill with reference tool.
I confirmed that the overlap distance is not a user controlled parameter in floor/wall milling. This would be an enhancement.
I think you are right.
If you can push it to the development it would be good.
I hope that it will helps everybody.
