Feature Based Machining - Tool search rule

Hello,

know somebody where i can find the search rule of tools ? I remember that i have read somewhere, that first was searched in the active program a tool is inside it can use for a operation and after that it goes to the tool database.

I am not shure but i mean its start from NX10.

Generally FBM is always searching the database first, then it checks if one of the matching tools is already loaded into the current part file. If any of the matching tools is already present this tool is used and no additional tool is added.

This was introduced in a maintenance pack of NX 8.5.3 first, so if you are running NX 8.5.3 MP11, you should take advantage of this feature.
