Feature Teaching - Machining Areas

Hi,

i have teached the MKE a new Feature, know I would like

to create operations for that feature to teach them the system.

I have defined all the PMI's and Machining Areas. MACH_1 is the floor MACH_2 i have selected

the Wall.

Now I want to create a Hole making Operation but the Drilling dont go through the hole depth.

Hope you can help me thank you.

Re: Feature Teaching - Machining Areas

Have you tried the MACH_1 area instead, which seems to be more like the regular FACES_BOTTOM area of a hole machining feature?

The alert in the bottom corner tells it all, your areas are not as expected for a hole.

Re: Feature Teaching - Machining Areas

I did a quick test in NX11.0.1 using your MACH2 machining area and it works fine (you still get the warnings but it works).

If you are on an earlier version you may want to try the MODEL_DEPTH machining area (this is always available for a DRILLING operation; you don't need to teach it). This should also give you the correct depth.
