Heidenhain "splines" and NX

Morning!

I want open conversation about Heidenhain splines and NX. I have some experience for Heid splines, it is not real NURBS-splenes, it is some kind of polinomial cubic spline as expressions for X,Y,Z (see a picture).

But - how I can get all K-values for Heid-splines from NX?

I can change motion type from NX,

NURBS - for real NURBS-splines and this type output not useful for my case.

Sinumerik Spline - it's a different type of Sinumerik supported splines, but not help me.

 

Can you say me any ideas? Last time I have few orders from heid-customers "We want "NURBS"!! ", I try to explain - Heidenhain not support NURBS, Heid a different type of splines and NX cannot output K-values for Heid.

hi,

I asked technical support some time ago and one told me that now heidenhain has fast algorithms and smoothing (cycl32) - dont recommend to use SPL. 

Another thing, in some zig zag pattern it can undercut part.

 

I suppose that you have used some heid. ootb post. - so it is not usefull?, K are not calculate correct?

(I dont use them anyway)

Thanks for reply! Yes, I try to use postprocessor with Heidenhain Advance Library and I see correct SPL output for Heid Splines.

Some time ago I copied that heid. spline stuff from ootb post into mine. It did output but I am not sure if it was OK and working.

I did some test in VC but I did nothing. (I am not advanced user of VC)

As I remmber I also test it in heiden. simulator and I think there was something missing. I really cant remmember.
