I want to probe parts and use that to set G54. Then would like to probe a few features and change parameters to chase the PMI to get the part within tolerance.
My post (Siemens 840DSL, OOTB based) is made using post configurator, how should I proceed with adding probing (renishaw: OMP60) in the post?
Anyone! Any tips about where to look? I've seen a couple of videos how one can add it using Post Builder, but how does it work with post configurator?
To be honest I have never added probing cycles, I am using PB.
Probing cycle can have 20 parameters, nx probe doesnt generate such parameters.
Only I would do is use general motion operation and via custom UDE execute output of probing cycle with manually set parameters.
Maybe somebody knows more.
I would use a new layer for the probe.
The functionalities will depend on what is programmed in the postprocessor with its procedures and buffers.
Thanks a lot for your quick response. Is it possible to create the probing part in PB and call it in post configurator? If so, how would it work?
Is there a way to utilize the post configurator post and add the missing stuff from pb... well this is the same question rephrased.
I am not experienced with PC, I work only with PB.
But custom commands, procedures - what you have in PB prepared (tcl) - you can use/call in PC - this is possible.
Some new tcl layer and so on.
But more can tell somebody else.
