How to guide tool before operation ?

Phenom
Phenom

hello,

I need to guide tool (and its axis) in space before operation paths starts through some points.

There is "from point.." and start point.

I need more points with specifying tool axis (that start point doesnt have and I needmore points)

I used UDE goto, but in my postprocesor it doesnt work well.

//

why:

it is 3+2 operation and starts with let say G68.../CYCLE800,

when I use UDE goto with specifying tool axis - CYCLE800/G68 calculate with this orientation

and it is impossible to change tool axis later in 3+2 machinig

//

Any idea?

thank you

Maybe try adding Generic Motion operation right before your operation? It should use the same tool obviously.

And if your postprocessor won't add any safe retracts between those operations, this should do the job.

yes nice , thank you

+ last point of generic motion should be the same as starting point of next operation

(xyz and orientation)
