If it just planner chamfering... I'd just be planner milling
You can easily shorten your line picks to avoid the wall
Using a sketch curve is a better option. because you can control the interference with a sketch dimension.
I did it by projecting the edge, Then made a line for control distance and trimmed the "linked" projected curve with "Trim Recipe Curve".
** Now I have a dimension, (which could relate to an expression if I was controlling many).
I edit the sketch dimension and regenerate... I can get really close.
It's a linked edge so if you move a face the drive curve moves too.
I also used cutter comp, cause I know my guys would want it for fine tuning
Unfortunately does not look like the check is working the way you want in the process you chose.
