IPW / CUTTING_SPUN

Hello!

I've a question to working with CUTTING_SPUN in tool. My tool looks like this:

The red part is the CUTTING_SPUN.

First I have an operation for pre-drilling, but the pre-drilling-tool actually is to small for the tool that follows (the tool you see above). You see it in the toolpath-visualisation:

Also in simulation the system detects an collision between tool and IPW:

Till here everything is OK. But if I want to see the IPW after this operation the IPW looks like this:

I think it should look like this:

What's your opinion?

Re: IPW / CUTTING_SPUN

Hello Werner,

do you see the "wrong" result in Verify AND simulation?

What about "Machine Code based" in simulation.

Make sure you have set inside the "simulation Settings" "In Process Workpiece" group the "Tool Shae" to --> Assembly.

In which version do you see that behaviour?

Re: IPW / CUTTING_SPUN

Ok I see it is about "Show 3D IPW". That feature takes the IPW stored inside the operation. Make sure the stored IPW includes the correct one by run Visualize (Verify) 3D and Assembly and activate "Save". If afterwards Show 3D IPW still shows the wrong IPw please contact GTAC.
