Internal error when trying to import tool with tracking points

Genius

Happy New Year all!

Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced problems when trying to load a form tool or other type that has tracking points defined from the tool_database.dat file?

If I remove the reference to the tracking point by manually altering the files I can load the tool without issue but even if I try and update the loaded tool and add new tracking points, the next time I try to use it I get the Internal Error alarm and can't close NX I have to kill it via task manager?

Will raise a PR but wanted to see if this has been seen before.

Re: Internal error when trying to import tool with tracking points

This does not sound familiar to me.

As long as you are manually editing the files, take a look and be sure that the tracking point libref (such as TP001_00001) on the end of each form tool record in tool_database.dat is defined in the trackpoint_database.dat file.

tool_database.dat:

DATA | ugt0251_011 | 02 | 51 | ...  | TP001_00010

trackpoint_database.dat:

DATA | TP001_00010 | 1 | 0 | OD_TANGENT | 1 | ...
DATA | TP001_00010 | 1 | 0 | ID_TANGENT | 2 | ...
DATA | TP001_00010 | 1 | 0 | SHARP_CORNER | 3 | ...

Hi Mark,
Thank you for the reply, all the references are correct I have a couple of extra references to tracking points on tools that have no tracking points defined?
GTAC are looking into my files at the moment.
