I have lots of older files with old operation dialogs and I would like to write a Journal to cycle thru operations, and update the dialogs to match the operations in the library_dialogs.prt file.
If you record a Journal thru the process Object, Customize From, what records doesn't really help me much.
First, is it possible to do this? If so, I am needing some help to point me in the right direction on where to look for the correct classes, methods, etc. that I need to access to make it work.
Production: NX10.0.3.5, Vericut 7.4.1, ICAM V21Development: VB.NET, Tcl/TkTesting: NX11
Go to Solution.
I would update from template. That will update the dialog from the template that created the object, and if that is not found, it will use library_dialogs.
Interactively, you can select any object, customize from, select all, OK.
Attached are 2 journals you can use or modify. One will update all dialogs in the work part, the other will go through all the parts in a folder. Rename to .vb.
In case you are not aware, you can also set a customer default to always update all dialogs every time you open a part.
Thank you, Mark!
