Hi

I’m trying to build a lathe post & get canned cycles to work for drilling

Below is code from different drill cycle types

Cycle type Drill

G99 T0808
M01
G00 X60. Z10. S1800 M03
X0.0 Z3.
G01 Z-17.343 F.05 M09
Z3. F.5
G00 X60. Z10.
M01

Cycle type Drill, Break Chip

G99 T0808
M01
G00 X60. Z10. S1800 M03
X0.0 Z3.
G01 Z-1. F.05 M09
Z2. F.5
Z-1. F.03
Z-2. F.05
Z1. F.5
Z-2. F.03
Z-3. F.05
Z0.0 F.5
Z-3. F.03
Z-4. F.05
Z-1. F.5
Z-4. F.03
Z-5. F.05

For Drill, Break Chip I want to get

G99 T0808
M01
G00 X60. Z10. S1800 M03
X0.0 Z3.
G74 X0.0 Z-20 R0.05 F0.05 Q2

Thanks

In NX CAM generally you can output cycle from operation dialog window,in operation navigator right click on operation>machine control>motion output>machine cycle.

Are you using a mill turn with live tooling in Y and Z axis's?

Using NX 8.0.3.4

Thanks

For drilling operations there is an output option under cycle type

Just be aware...

If this is a mill-turn, and you use the BORE cycle in turning WITH DWELL, the post will use the MILLING post bore cycle output...  Still this way in PB, last I looked  (lathe post doesn't have MOM_bore_dwell_move)
