Dear All,

i know : 

The Material applied to the WORKPIECE is beneficial if you are using the Machining Data Library functionality to set your cutting conditions.

Machining data Library can set Cut Depth, Stepover, speeds and feeds automatically in your operations

But : Where i can find this apply? The way to creat new Machining Data Library?

For how to "apply", you have 4 options:

1. In the operation, Feeds and Speeds, "Set Machining Data"

2. In the Operation Navigator, MB3, Object, Set Machining Data

3. In the Operation Navigator, MB3, Object, Feed Rates, Set Machining Data

4. Turn on the Customer Default to ALWAYS set it

(2 and 3 are slightly different if you select multiple operations)

 

You can add to the OOTB library with Menu, Tools, Edit Machining Data Libraries.

 

To start from scratch, manually delete the entries in the tables.

As Stefan says, the machining data library contains sample data OOTB.

The HSM entries are the best to look at, as they provide a good starting point for high speed milling. 

 

To try it out, you need to use valid inputs for a milling operation.

Start with this:

In the Geometry parent (e.g. WORKPIECE), set the material to HSM P20 Prehardened.

In the Method parent (e.g. MILL_FINIHS), set the cut method to HSM ROUGH MILLING.

In the Tool parent (e.g. MILL), set the material to HSM END MILL TIALN COATED.

Now edit your milling operation, go to Feeds and Speeds, and Set Machining Data.
