Pioneer

Anyone experiencing this... I am doing basic planar milling and some other simple stuff and Nx is grabbing memory even if I am not doing anything... Until things get too choppy and I need to stop.

This never happened on the other cam package I used.

Is sure hope there is a fix for this... And it better not be get more ram...

I played with this more today..

NX seems stable as long as I am NOTt in the Manufactuing enviroment, as soon as I switch over.. it starts to grab more memory.. until windows actually runs out of memory.

I attached 2 pics.. there is about 30 seconds in between them.. this has to be an abnormal behavior.

Thanks

Hello!

I work with NX 10.0.2.6 and I can not reproduce your behavior in this extent. It varies a little, sometimes it even goes down. I've tested it nativ and in managed mode with TC.

It could be part specific

Does this happen to ALL files, or just this one?

1) I would report this to GTAC & send the files.  Also a syslog from when it happens:

(Menu -> ) Help -> (NX) log file

2) Open up the part, and do a part cleanup on it (File -> Utilities -> Part cleanup)

Do all parts in session

Set (at least) all the moderate actions, and do "Apply"-"Apply"-"OK"

Save part(s)

exit NX, restart NX, open parts & see if it still happens

Re: Memory leak with Nx 10.0.26??

This does not look familiar.

10.0.26 is not a release - I assume you mean 10.0.0.26, the original NX10 from last December.

The first thing to do is try it (or have GTAC try it) in the current release.

If it's OK there, then you need to update to 10.0.2.

It the problem still occurs, log a call like @Ken_A said, including the syslog, so that GTAC can diagnose it.

Mark,

I meant 10.0.2.6

Looks like this was part specific.. part file cleaning seemed to do the trick.

thanks
