As the title suggests, if i have a bolt hole circle whats the best way to copy the first bolt hole and pattern it around a diameter at a given angle so that all the holes are inspected the same way and i dont have to select each hole individually?

Where exactly in the system you are making the selection?

what do you mean?
i have a bolt circle made up of 40 holes.
how do i write a program so that all the holes are inspected without me having to take the time to select each and every hole?

in PCDMIS i have the ability to copy a circle and then pattern it around at a desired angle and quantity.
does NX CMM have the same ability somewhere? PATTERN doesnt seem to work for me (or at least i havent figured it out.)

You can right click on the inspection path and choose transform to instance that path. Or, if you have a PMI callout with all the holes selected, you can use link to PMI and it will path all the holes. One other option is a probram called Hole Blaster that will select all the holes on the face.
