i have no idea what that is.
i mean seriously, am i supposed to know how to do that or where to go to enable an environment variable?
I am a CMM Programmer using PCDMIS for 8 years, but i have no idea how to do that.
I hear ya. Nobody was born knowing that. One way to set the environment variable is as shown below. At some point you will get some training support and this sort of stuff is all covered.
ok, the NX admin here at work has enabled it.
i needed to restart the software in order for it to take effect. save my project, exit out, open NX back up and get this....
i dont see my inspection navigator.
I'm not sure. It could be that the ugii_env file isn't pointing to the right place. I think you need live support, either GTAC or your sales support persons.
If you see "Invalid Configuration File" check the syslog - it should show what file the system is looking for, or what entry is invalid.
Thank you JCHAPLAIN and MarkRief for trying to help fix this for me.
But now I'm even more terrified of this software. How many more capabilites are being hidden from me?
Its actually very user friendly once you have a bit of training. I know how jumping into any software without training or mentoring can seem overwhelming. I'm an old machininst and nc programmer, and if I can figure it out anyone can! :-)
off the top of your head, can you think of other capabilities that you've had to turn on that I might not know about?
how about iterative alignments, best fit alignments?
least square, minimum seperation, maximum inspcribed, fixed radius diameters?
