Holeblaster is an executable that is good if you have a model with hundred of holes for example. You can select the part and it will create features and paths for all the cylindrical faces. Its not meant for programming circular arrays of holes but it may work. I haven't even looked at it for a long time to see if it works in NX10 or NX11. I would need permission to share it with you as well. I will try to get back to this soon.
If you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org I can send you the holeblaster utility. Its only meant as a sample and this will be embedded in future versions of NX Cmm. It's not supported through GTAC either.
i've been programming using NX CMM now for about a year, and i'm incredibly frustrated at the number of functions that arent readily available that would help when i'm programming.
Ive been on the horn with a few of your application engineers and i've started more GTAC tickets than i can count. I know i'm not a high use customer as we only have one license here to use, but my goodness this software is not user friendly.
im not sure the holeblaster utility would help much right now. I'm hoping future updates will improve the experience.
Holeblaster is not a built-in NX Cmm function. Its an add-on .dll file that you set up that will program a part with a lot of holes. It will be built -in in a future release.
