At our company we have tried it, but stopped once it was clear that the dmis output is the only format thats supported. Our Zeiss machines cant handle dmis. Zeiss had a converter for dmis to calypso, but it was so limited, that most of the probes and sensors had to be recreated after the conversion.
This was at the NX8 period

Are you programming just cmm's or doing some machine probing as well?

I have looked at machine probing a little in nx11 beta and it looks promising for us but I need to work on a post and capturing data before I make a decision on buying it.

Dear Paehv,

at the time of NX8 the supported way to execute inspection plans on Zeiss CMMs was to export DMIS to Calypso. This was is not the supported way any more, we have another way, called CMM Inspection Execution. With this solution, you are able to execute DMIS plans as they were created in NX CMM on Zeiss machine without any problem. You need the Zeiss CMM-OS instead of Calypso configured to be able to go this way.

Máté
