NX10 Z Level 5-axis problem

Experimenter
Experimenter

Good afternoon everyone.

I am trying to finish mill the outer diameter of a large cylinder using a 1" ball nose end mill.  I am generated a cutter path using Z-Level 5-axis (tilted at 20 degrees away from the part to use a shorter end mill) that looks pretty good but I'm having trouble getting the cut direction to do what I need it to do.  The C-axis on my machining center has a range of +90/-450 degrees.  In order to keep my rotary axis from winding up too far, I'm using the "Mixed" cut direction but i need to force the initial cut to go the opposite way that NX has chosen so that my C-axis rotates in the negative direction.  I've played around with it for a few hours but I cannot seem to find a way to reverse the inital cut direction.  Does anyone know how to make it go the other way?

Thanks,

Dan

Changing to conventional cut with zig zag doesn't fix it?

You can always use the Rotate UDE and rotate 180*?
