NX11.0.0, NX11.0.1 Compatibility, Planner Milling

All,

Posted a question a few weeks ago regarding running manufacturing files in either environment.

I am doing some programming for a sister company, I am on 11.0.1 they are on 11.0.0

The consensus was... They are compatible, but if I made a process in the newer version that had a functionality that was not available in the older version. They would not be able to open it and edit it.

So the question is...

With the new Planner interface. Is this just an interface and does not effect functionality?

Or does any Planner process I create in 11.0.1 now become un-editable to someone on 11.0.0?

Thanks in advance for your assistance, Paul S.

For the boundaries, only the dialog has changed, the underlying functions are still the same.

If this is not what you are asking for than I have misinterpreted this as planar milling question.

I'm hoping it would still be editable and just an interface difference.

I don't have a running version of NX11.0.0 to test on. And the other site will not have a person to test until next week.

By that time I will have laid down allot of programming and Planner is a favorite go to.

In NX 11.0.1 the boundary dialog is just a change in the user interface, the resulting boundaries are the same as in NX 11.0.0 and below.

Re: NX11.0.0, NX11.0.1 Compatibility, Planner Milling

Boundaries created in NX 11.0.1 Planar Milling operations work fine in NX 11.0. I just tried it to make sure. The difference is the UI, not the data.
