when creating index operation with contour area while step and non step tab open,it occurs bad toolpath on Zlevel passes.
is there anybody have same problem?
1)if it is about surfaces, why same toolpath is given good result with +ZM tool axis.
2)I sent same part file which made in NX10 and same surfaces gives better result according to NX11 and there is no problem.
so do you think the problem is still surfaces?
Thanks for your help SvenV.
But I wonder, why doing this? Because We have always used nx at this tolerance.decreasing tolerance increases generating time a lot and also 0.005 is not a big tolerance for machining also it occurs when tool axis is not ZM.
I don't have an explanation why this helps...
Thats a question maybe the devolopers can give you an answer to.
I open files and see no problem with models. I try to optimize body and still no fix.
Only fix is like mentioned before make in / out tol a lot smaller. On my computer the generation time was almost the same.
I work in inch mode and usually set my tolerance to .0002 in .0002 out = what you are using .005mm
I never thought about going smaller to clean up some of this noise. Now I will have to remember to try .00004 next time I run into something like this.
I would send these files to Gtac... And I'd make sure to include one more copy of toolpath
and set to .001mm so they can see
If you are seeing those problems in NX 11, using the same parameters that made a good path in NX 10, please log a call with GTAC, and provide the parts and syslogs for both releases.
