NX1847 ISV Speed Improvments?

Any improvement in the new release for ISV performance? Running some 5 axis roughing simulation (Cavity Mill with tilt tool axis) and using Material Removal Option is very very slow. Using a very good computer and ISV is good without material removal.

Going from 12.0.1 to 12.0.2 it took a big hit

I hope it didn't get worse, was hoping for back to normal

thanks for your feedback. Could you be a bit more precise about your setup? Which type (3D or assembly) of tools do you use? Are you talking about Verify, Tool Path based Simulation or Machine Code based simulation?

We are using 3d tools and machined code based simulation with IPW

Hi Dennis,

 

at this point I have no further ideas why this happens. Please do the following. Run the same setup with the same simulation settings in NX1202 and NX1847. If you have a significant performance difference between both versions,  please create a ticket via GTAC that we can do further investigations.
