We're heading to Dallas to learn more about PLM. The conference covers a wide range of the PLM spectrum, but we’re focusing on PLM for part manufacturing. This includes topics such as NC programming, CMM inspection, and CAM data management. We’ll be in the NX CAM Track until Thursday, when the conference ends.
In addition to the plenary / keynote presentations, we have a nice mix of sessions lined up by experts from Siemens PLM and customers. This is the NX CAM Track agenda:
Day One - Monday, June 3
Day Two - Tuesday, June 4
Day Three - Wednesday, June 5
Day Four - Thursday, June 6
Next week be sure to keep an eye on this forum, we'll be sharing information from the conference as it unfolds.
I'm also doing a presentation Thrusday on non-associative editing, like dividing a path or tilting the tool axis. Is it better to regenerate the operation or edit the path? We'll discuss it.
Especially the results of the CIP are not presented at the Austrian connection, so this would be very interesting, I think.
There are 1000 different ways to get a 5X tool path. There are one or two that is going to produce the result you want. Getting to the desired tool path fast requires fundamental understanding of various options provided in NX. Do we really need all these options?
Join the presentation and discussion at 1:45pm, Tuesday (Conf room Dallas C).
Stefan, I will email my presentation later this week.
It is midnight, the day before, and I am still working on it
Unfortunately, there is not much in there as my session is mostly a live demo.
