I open some HOFFMAN webpages - I dont understand why "parabolic" - true radius, huge radius, Rw=500 (for example).

in NX1847 we already have a better way to define the tangent Barrel:
in NX 1872 you will be able to easily define Taper Barrel (ignore the ugly temporary picture):
