Machine type : 5axis head - table type(BC)

Controller : heidenhain

limit : B-axis (100 ~ -100)

         C-axis (360 ~-360)

PUI Version : NX8

operation : floor and wall

tool axis : ZM

cut pattern : zigzag

cut direction : XM






Question :

I want to be a C-axis is "zero". but C-axis is "90".

so c-axis would be rotated.


is there a way that the c-axis can be set to be output with a value of "0"?

You could do this a couple ways

1) Post - at "end of path", reset all the *pos variables for the rotary axes to 0,0
This is automatic for all operations.  If the tool axis for the operation would force other B/C angles, they will be output as needed.

2) Specific operations: Use the "Rotate" UDE.  Note the tool axis must be in a position where this will work.

Try the following settings (put in beginning of "start" events)

- C axis

- type= absolute

- direction = none

- angle = 0

- reference only - no output = checked

Note your post has to support this UDE, but I think most anything created in post builder will.
