Hello everyone,

Does anyone know, is it possible to change coordinate rotation order in post from Post Configurator?

I must move from XYZ order to ZYZ order.

In Post Builder I know how to do this, but This post in just written in Post Configurator.

Thanks in advise

If you open Post Configurator and search for the word order in the search bar at the top you may find the setting.

No idea other than that.

If you switch Plane Output to G68.2 then the calculation is "ZXZ"

If this is still not solving your problem, make sure to post the mandatory information:

  • NX release used
  • machine controller used

Without those you will not receive any helpful information.

Thanks for help,

I use NX 11 and fanuc as a controller.

In this post configurator I cant find any information about rotation order even in TCL file.

Is this possible to apply the changes direct in tcl file?

As Mr. Schauer mentioned, you just need to change the plane output:

Hope this helps.

Unfortunately I use the robotic post, which has a less option than standard machine post :/

You have to extend the robotics post with logic for ZYZ rotation calculation because OOTB not contains any logic for this. To keep also the XYZ rotation calculation you should first create a property for this, like:

property_xyz_zyz2.jpg

In the next step overwrite the existing procedure for calculation in the "FANUC_RJ_user_custom.tcl" and add logic which calculation should called, dependent on the property value. For the Fanuc robot this is the FANUC_trafo_to_abc

robot_Fanuc_calc_command.jpg

Now add your calculation to convert a transformation matrix to Euler Z,Y,Z representation or use existing one if you have something else. Important to know is that this should return the translations in X,Y,Z and the rotations in degrees.

calculation_zyz.jpg

Now dependent on the setting of the property your output should be correct for both of them.

In my tests (NX11, Fanuc robot sample) e.g.:

XYZ:

XYZ_order.jpg

ZYZ:

ZYZ_order.jpg

I've add the file which contains the coding showed above including the properties. Hope this helps.

This will maybe included in upcoming robotic libraries release, so this is the workaround until this is integrated.

Best regards

Thomas
