Post external cl files using our postbuilder posts

We currently program our impellers using a specialized software.  We then GRIP the cl files into NX as sequential mill operations.  This way we can do all our posting using our postbuilder posts.

Looking for other ideas / suggestions / solutions on how to post external cl files using our postbuilder posts.

You can just import CLS file into NX, CAM operation will be created. And you can use any postprocessor for nc-program generation.

Menu->Tools->CLSF..

One note - your CLS-file must support some NX rules for cls.

Next possibility - NXOPEN application for import CLS into MILL USER NX operation. I think, your Sequential Milling operation after GRIP too heavy..

Thank you for your suggestions.  We are working on a new process application that will use the CLS import functionality.  We are thinking that this new application will be more efficient in many ways from what we are doing today.  It may take us some time as production always gets in the way.  I will post an update once we complete our application development and let the community know what we learned.

Thanks again for your help.

Hi DanP

There is also the external "Run UGPost" utility.

It's a small GUI that also is easy to use.
