Postbuild and TRAORI function

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi,

We have several Sinumerik 840D controllers in our factory and are planning to use Postbuilder as the new postprocessor consept.

The TRAORI function is in use in most af the 5 axes programs.

We have two implemetations of TRAORI:   TRAORI(1) and TRAORI(2).

I have been doing som tests  and found out that a standard post output the TRAORI code. This is the same as our TRAORI(1).

Is it possible to configure the postbuilder to output the TRAORI(2) transformation correctly?

TRAORI(2) is a four axis transformation.

If one of the rotaries is a head one - and that is what you want traori active for with TRAORI(2) since it is configurable on the control - use a head table kinematic post which will turn the table locations around center but not the head one (like traori works.) Head kinematic does not rotate locations and table does.

1) You might be able to automate this using mom_kin_machine_type - check for machine type (4_axis_table, 5_axis_head_table, etc.)

2) You could create a UDE to specify

Re: Postbuild and TRAORI function

Have you considered using post configurator instead of post builder?
