Hi all .

I am trying to finish Hub in Multi Blade Machining but facing three problems. I have specified all of geometry(Shroud,blades, splitters) correctly.

Problems are following

1)Tool path for hub finish is not bieng created inside two blades rather it spread all around the impeller.

2)Tool path for hub finish is not bieng  created both side of splitters.

3)Tool path for hub finish is not bieng created on the upper portion of Hub.

I am attaching here a screen shot as well my .prt file . If someone work on it and tell me where i am making mistakes.

Thanks

hi,

I specified geometry blends and so on because they were not specified.

Tool was in unused items so I put it root.

I created new operation hub finish.

(and increase tangential extension (3) )

@Juraj

Hi i read your reply also i download your model but i am not understanding where you have made the changes except the 3rd change in tool path tangential extension.

i am confused by reading your these two lines.

What do mean by blend geometry? Is it blade blend geometry?

Now i am trying to specify this geometry but  not getting any change.

Also how did you put the root of the tool????

Thanks for your reply

@Juraj

Hi i am still struggling to figure out the problem.

I followed all of your steps.

I selected Blade Bend Geometry ,rooted the tool to the generic machine folder and also set Hub drive finish method (175 % of the tool leading edge extension along blade direction) but still get no required result.

New modified part is attached here.

I will be thankful for you if you send me a screen captured vedio.

Finally i am able to solve my problem. Actually i was not specifing the Splitter Blend geometry that was why the problem was created.

Any way i can't thank you enough.

Blends, you didnt specify them - Blade blend and splitter blend.

Tool in unused items:

So I put tools in GENERIC MACHINE.

(I am not telling that this was a problem.)
