Hello! We have many, many parts with radial grooves like this:
In a first step we want to produce the red marked groove. Unfortunately this radial groove is not recognized as a radial groove. I get the message "A groove feature could not be derived from the selected geometry". A feature only is recognized if the groove really is rectangular (with 90 degree walls). I can't accept a solution that says to delete the bevels wirh direct modelling.
What can we do?

The new radial groove milling operation is at its initial stage, I assume that in the future more complex grooves will be supported.
A solution would be to use HOLE_MILLING with a spiral tool path, which is what we did in NX 8.5, where no groove milling was available.
