Referenced part not loading in manufacturing

Hello All,

Not sure if I am not missing something in my manufacturing template or .PAX file but when I do a file new using "Master Model" the referenced part opens but does not load into the new part file.

When creatinig a new drawing file, the referenced file works as expected.

Is there a customer default or featur in the template part file I should be using?

Any suggestions?

Have you marked the dummy component you added to your template assembly as target?

  1. Open your template assembly in manufacturing
  2. Select "Menu => Edit => CAM Component Type..."
  3. Select the dummy component
  4. Select target as type
  5. OK

NX should now be able to replace the dummy component with the referenced part.

I don't seem to have Cam Component Type under menu => Edit

I do have a target file loaded into my manufacturing template though.

Re: Referenced part not loading in manufacturing

This menu entry is only available in the manufacturing application, since it is special to manufacturing.

In the picture, it looks like you do not have a part open when you go to file new.

In the Filter group, what is relationship set to?

In your setup assembly, is there a placeholder target component, with the target attribute assigned?
