Revision Tracking for CAM Template Parts

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hello!  We have our own custom CAM part templates that we use within our organization.  I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to put a revision control on these files.  So basically, anytime someone makes a change to the CAM template part, I would like them to be able to log it or make a note somewhere within the file.  Right now, we are relying soley on the date stamp which is obviously a bad method.

My thinking right now is to use part attributes, a dummy UDE, or just use a "note" within one of the template operations.  Im leaning more towards attributes as its more in the background.  Any thoughts?

Thanks and have a great new years!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the response!! This looks like it would be a good method if there is a way to add the note. When I tried it, some of my notes were already auto populated, so I'm not sure if you can actually manually input the notes.
