Robot Control on Linux: memory access violation: update

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi

This is a repost and update from the design forum but may be better suited here:

https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/NX-Design-Forum/Robot-Control-on-Linux-memory-access...

The issue persists with 12.0.1 and also using both Oracle and OpenJDK  (other Java dependent parts of NX work fine).

See attached error log.

Thanks

Hi great job on fixing this for 12.0.2.

However 12.0.2 introduces a few more minor errors with hard coded back slashes that need to be changed to

forward slashes for the Linux OS.

Two that I have found so far are:

/usr/ugs120/mach/resource/library/machine/ascii/machine_database.dat

/usr/ugs120/mach/templates/CAM_Machine_Samples.pax

I have fixed these with sed but it may be worth scanning the install directory to pick up any others for the next MP.

Hi,

Good job, it's seem you have fixed.

And I am really curious that why use NX on Linux platform instead of Windows, as we know the interface of Linux is not friendly.Smiley Happy

Thanks
