I use it to move spindle in machine coordinates.

For example for safe moves before positioning or in the end of the nc program.

Example:

SUPA G0 Z0 D0  to go on machine Z maximum (Z coordinate is specific for each machine)

or SUPA G0 X0 Y0 D0 - to go spindle somwhere on X Y in machine.

(!note: then have to be D1 executed to read tool length that machining can continue)

According to Sinumerik documentation:

 

SUPA: SUPA has the same effect as G153 and also suppresses:
 Handwheel offsets (DRF)
 Overlaid movements
 External zero offset
 PRESET offset 

G153: G153 has the same effect as G53 and also suppresses the entire basic
frame.

G53: G53 suppresses the settable zero offset and the programmable zero
offset non-modally.
