I want to set the Saved Simulation Settings Directory to a path relative to the customized CAM files. There are 27 directories each with custom CAM files for a department. Thus, I would like to use an environment variable to specify the path. Otherwise, I would have to create a Customer Default file for each department.
When I set the path to something like
does not complain the directory does not exist.
When creating the simulation settings file within Simulate, NX always uses the execute in directory of my ugraf.exe.
Does anyone know if using environment variables are supported for the path at all?

It seems Siemens has not had this behavior specified in its spec. I file an IR and we will see.
Generally NX uses the UNIX variable notation, have you tried the following too?
I have had success in various other places with this approach.
Production: NX10.0.3, VERICUT 8.0, FBM, MRL 3.1.4 | TcUA 10.1 MP7 Patch 0 (10.1.7.0) | TcVis 10.1
Development: VB.NET, Tcl/Tk Testing: NX12.0

we are using the Saved Simulation Settings Directory on Windows with "%DAIMLER_SAVE_SIMULATION_SETTINGS%" (without quotation marks). This works from NX11.0.0 on.
