I couldn't find the field for input shank data on End mill (non indexable) from tool_database.dat file, is it possible to define this data from dat file?

Thanks

Full NX release?

Customized DAT file or not?

In the OOTB files it is included. Best is to import all tools, add the shank and export them to update the DAT file.

This can be done through NXOpen programming as possible with regular Journals.

Re: Shank data from End Mill (non indexable)

The shank parameters are there out of the box:

# The following attributes are common to all milling and drilling tools:
#
# TSDIA - Tapered shank diameter
# TSLEN - Tapered shank length
# TSTLEN - Tapered shank taper length

Export a tool with a shank and look at the tool record, and you will see them.
