Hi, I tried to use the variable: mom_cutcom_type and I was not successful, is there another variable that shows when the tool compensation is active? Thank you..

ok , may be you can say a little bit more , what is the message ? An error ? the variable is always set to "0".

This variable doesn't works with all type of operations  and if you set cutcom with UDE

 @mkn

It has no error, it just shows no result. Correct, the variable starts at zero, I already used 1 and 2 for walls, but I continue with no result.

 @Ken_A

I will work on your combinations as soon as possible, when I have a result I present to you.

I really need to pay attention better & read the subject of threads....(sorry)

Note what I am doing, I am doing in the POST.

I don't use the Siemens Shop Docs module.  (I generate my "shop docs" when I post.  I may not be able to get pretty pictures, but I have access to all the data I need...)

Those variables may not exist in Shop Docs...

Below find what I use to output cutter compensation information with shop documentation.

	if {[info exist mom_cutcom_type]} {
		if {$mom_cutcom_type > 0} {
			switch $mom_cut_data_type {
				"contact contour data" {
					if {$MY_cutcom_info == ""} {
						set MY_cutcom_info "Contact contour"
					} elseif {![string match "*Contact contour*" $MY_cutcom_info]} {
						set MY_cutcom_info "$MY_cutcom_info, Contact contour"
					}
				}
				"centerline data" {
					if {$MY_cutcom_info == ""} {
						set MY_cutcom_info "Center line"
					} elseif {![string match "*Center line*" $MY_cutcom_info]} {
						set MY_cutcom_info "$MY_cutcom_info, Center line"
					}
				}
			}
		}
		unset mom_cutcom_type
	}

Hope this helps.

This must be written to your Tcl script. If you use the Excel-based shop documentation, then I cannot help you, since I don't use that at all.

Generally I dislike the dependency on MS Office.

Shop Doc Cutcom

We use the following when the Cutcom is defined within the operation.

mom_tool_cutcom_register  > .1  && mom_cutcom_type > .1

All we do is list the cutcom on/off and the number.    Left/Right or 2D, 3D etc we do not do.

You must also check whether the CUTCOM UDE has been used and turned on CUTCOM.  MOM_list_user_defined_events is documented in Siemens docs.   To get the global variables to pass to shop docs, our Shop Docs also source a tcl program with our version of the proc MOM_info_user_defined_event that MOM_list_user_defined_events is calling.   Modified to fit our needs.
