I have an operation, when I use Curve as drive. The path is specific, its helisa in the cone schape.
I try to output compensation, but I cant :/ I try every operation, but only the curve drive ensure me the right path.
I try also offset the wall and project 3D curve and do the operation on it, but like on the picture below, it doesn't work.
Is any other idea to do this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Starting with NX 10 use HOLE_MILLING from the hole_making operation template.
Starting with NX 11.0.2 you should also be able to use FLOOR_WALL for helical milling.

FYI - to avoid this kind of resulting path use projection direction- away from line and select the centerline. Apperently you had the projection along tool axis and it is hard for the system to project stadily down a vertical wall.
My 2 cents,
WOW, it is working, thanks a lot! I must more explore the Projection vector bar
It would be even better, if the toolpath was output with contact data, because it didn't work at the moment.
Have you turned on the contact output in the Non Cutting dialog >> More tab? I tried and in seems that the contact data is produced properly. second you have to check that your post processor support it.
