Hi.

I am machining a component with the below tool in a vertical 2-axis Lathe.

For the convenience, I have used the P9(Refer image) as my tracking point.

Now,

Do I need to place offset equal to the radius in the Machine to compensate the distance between tracking point and the actual cutting edge?

Please guide and reccomend!

The output should be based off of that tracking point. If you have 0 for offset as you mention, the person at the machine will have to offset their tools. If you put in an offset equal to the radius, then the person at the machine just need to touch off the tools. Then again it would be the same result as just setting your tracking point to p2 or 3.
