UDE definitions

I am currently consolidating the UDEs we provide the end user for selection. I am aware of the loading mechanism via the machining environment (by ude.cdl).

There are some UDEs I could not figure out where they come from. These are:

Spindle Marker

Tool Change Marker

From Marker

Start Marker

Approach Marker

Are they system generated and can´t be removed?

Best wishes,

Re: UDE definitions

These are system UDEs, and cannot be customized or hidden.

What are your concerns? Are the users having trouble with them?

Re: UDE definitions

Hello Mark!

I've also wondered for a long time, where these UDEs come from. The consern in NXCAM is, that you often don't know why certain things are the way they are ;-)

If I only think about the many places where you can implement CDLs into the system, it's very confusing.

Re: UDE definitions

Hi Mark,

no, they don´t make trouble.

But when dealing with UDEs for all CAM users, specific customer sites and specific to certain machines and you try to figure out how to set up the includes, then you wonder why you can´t get rid of some things that are not supported by your post.

Our policy is:

It doesn´t make sense to provide a UDE if it should not be used. To make things simpler we want to display as less as possible to the end user.
