UDE in PostConfigurator

Hi,

Would anyone advise how, in the PostConfigurator I place UDE in Start of the program? I have created UDEs that define the parameters listed at the beginning of the program. When I made a custom command and placed it in the MOM_start_of_program, it mistakes me for not knowing the variables. Once it is placed in MOM_start_of_path, it works. When I need to do this in PostBuilder, I place a custom command on UDe and list it without any problems. How do I do it in PostConfigurator?

Thank You

Pavel

short advice would be: if it works when you place your Custom Command in MOM_start_of_path, leave it there and make sure it will be executed only once (for first operation).

But if you insist to have it in MOM_start_of_program, you will have to use LIB_SPF_get_pretreatment

NX Doc explains order of processing UDEs and MOM events:

When you post process a tool path, the user-defined event data is output in the following order relative to the sequence markers in Post Builder:

Start of program

User-defined events (UDEs) attached to the program

Start of parent group (program, machine tool, geometry, method)

UDEs attached to the parent group

UDEs attached to the geometry with program, machine tool, geometry, method commands

UDEs attached to the method with Start Events

UDEs attached to the cutting tool with Start Events

UDEs attached to the machine tool with Start Events

Start of operation

Tool change (not Load tool)

UDEs attached to the operation with Start Events

Initial move

UDEs attached to the operation with End Events

End of operation

UDEs attached to the geometry with End Events

UDEs attached to the method with End Events

UDEs attached to the cutting tool with End Events

UDEs attached to the machine tool with End Events

End of program

Note attributes & expressions are available in "start of program" event without any special treatment in the post.

Depending on what you are trying to do, they *may* be an option.

Have you tried using the User Defined Events Editor in Post Configurator? The button to enter this dialog is in the Actions group at the bottom.

PC.JPG

This is where you can define your own user events. Select the Add New Event button toward the lower left corner of the dialog and start defining the event on the right column.

When finished, the event will be placed into a "_custom.cdl" file located with the rest of the post files.

Thank you Marek.

I put UDE in the Start_of_path so that it is listed only once.
